Annual Dinner 2018, 27th April 2018, London

Yes, it’s a year away, but we know some people like to put the date in their diaries as soon as possible… the Annual Dinner 2018 will be on Friday 27th April next year, at The Savoy in London.

A big thank you to all those who attended this year’s Dinner and contributed generously to the collection for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (www.rnli.org.uk), our new President’s chosen charity.  Including Gift Aid, we raised over £4,000.

The following items will be of interest principally to members in Europe (including UK):

Minor Railways Section AGM and Technical Visit 12th - 14th May, Porthmadog, UK

It’s a great way of networking and meeting up with both current and former colleagues in an informal social setting.  All who have been to previous Luncheons have enjoyed themselves greatly.

Please register now to attend, using the application form available on the IRSE website (http://bit.ly/2jRYHlz).  Applications must be received not later than 31st May 2017.

Once again, with the support of Signet Solutions Ltd, the IRSE Younger Members are running a weekend event at the beginning of July to help young engineers with their professional development.  The event offers the choice of becoming more familiar with traditional UK mainline signalling equipment hardware through practical demonstrations, or attending classroom sessions more focussed on attempts at specific IRSE Exam questions in modules 2, 3 and 5.

If you are interested in attending, click here for more details and the booking form.
